    Whether it's called a product life cycle process, or a time-to-market process, most companies employ some documented phase/gate methodology to bring their product to market and support it once it's there.  The typical process can be described in six generic phases: investigative, design, implementation, test, release, and maintenance.  PCS's business is to provide consulting and contracting services that either support, enable, or produce some or all of the deliverables due at each process gate.
